BIOS

Biological Ovarian Stimulation (BIOS) represents the use of biological therapies in the stimulation of ovulation. Biological therapies present an innovative approach to treating patients by restoring gonadal function and fertility. These therapies, based on cells and their products, use various cells such as highly concentrated platelet growth factors in enriched plasma (hcPRP), and bio-regenerative fibrin (BRF).

Indications – ovarian failure:

  • a poor response to previous stimulation and/or fewer obtained cells than expected (less

    than 3-5 cells),

  • decreased cell quality,

  • empty follicle,

  • fertilization failure,

  • embryo developmental arrest.

In stimulation protocols, alongside the injection of hcP(L)RP and BRF, follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), growth hormone (GH) and sometimes human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) are used.

These products play a significant role in intercellular communication and immune response modulation, thereby contributing to the regenerative effect, improving ovarian function, and regulating hormonal status. The synergistic-cumulative action of intra-ovarian therapy with hcPRP and BRF has been proven, showing increased success rates when administered over multiple consecutive cycles.

The intervention is typically performed under analgo-sedation, as a day procedure, on days 2-4 of the menstrual cycle.

Phases:

  1. Blood collection from the vein

  2. Preparation of hcPRP and BRF in a closed automated system

  3. Preparation of thrombin activator

  4. Intraovarian application of the prepared substrate

Levels:

  • BIOS basic - Intra-ovarian application of prepared autologous activated hcPRP, FSH,

    FSH/LH, GH and hCG,

  • BIOS advanced - Intra-ovarian application of prepared autologous activated BRF, hcPRP,

    FSH, FSH/LH, GH and hCG.
